Mad Hats and Flying Pies at The Livvy!
It was hats off and pinkies up this weekend at The Livvy as we stepped through the looking glass and into a delightfully bonkers Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Guests of all ages were treated to a whimsical afternoon tea, served with a side of silliness and a dollop of mischief — all in the royal company of none other than the Queen of Hearts herself (don’t worry, she only shouted “Off with their heads!” once… or twice).
Tiny sandwiches, towering scones, and teacups filled with magic (and actual tea) flowed freely as laughter echoed through the garden. But the real fun began after the last crumb was gone — and the cream pies came out.
Yes, you read that right. A light-hearted cream pie fight erupted, with an “opt out” option that was very politely ignored by most of the grown-ups who, it must be said, seemed even keener than the kids to get a good splat in! Feathers of whipped cream flew through the air, shrieks of glee followed, and even the Queen of Hearts got caught in the crossfire. (Turns out, royal robes wash surprisingly well.)
It was messy. It was magical. It was utterly marvellous madness.
Thank you to everyone who joined the fun — you made it a tea party to remember! Until next time, keep your hats quirky and your pie-throwing arms limber.
